The Ottoman Caliphate: A Loss Remembered in Ramadan
About the event
This Ramadan coincides with 3rd March, a date that marks one of the greatest political and spiritual losses in Islamic history: the destruction of the Ottoman Khilafah.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The Imam is a shield behind whom the people fight and by whom they are protected.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
In this blessed month, we reflect not only on what was lost, but on the lessons of unity, leadership and responsibility that Ramadan calls us to revive.
